Troubleshooting
If your gun is firing a clip and then takes some time before it fires the next one. The reason could be very simple. Have you noticed the light flashing at the front of the gun? This flashing light is an indication that your gun needs a battery with more voltage. Simply replace your battery with a fully charged one whenever you see the flashing light.
BUT ... if you've continued to fire your gun it won't have enough voltage to wind the spring up fully. When this happens, your gun won't fire properly.
HERE'S how to solve it! Take the clips out of your gun, replace the battery with a fully charged one and dry fire your gun around a dozen times. You should hear it speeding up. When it's firing quickly every time, you're good to go and you can pop your clips back in again.

Clips
We're launching in the UK with 3 sizes of clips initially to fit twin and earth cables: 1.0/1.5mm², 2.5mm² and 4.0/6.0mm².
ViperClips are available in standard and fire clips. The fire clips can be used to prevent the cables collapsing prematurely in the event of a fire. You can fire both from the ViperClip gun and change between clip types as easily as change the clip size.
ViperClip products have been designed for use on wood - both natural timber and engineered wood (hardboard, osb and ply). Whilst they will work on engineered block and some breeze block and plaster, it will depend on how hard and dense the material is.
Yes, ViperClip fire clips will do this job perfectly with metal nails and a steel bridge. These clips will prevent premature collapse of cables in a fire. Full details of our fire clip tests are available in our Technical section.
Yes. We will be bringing out clips for other markets where the flat twin and earth cables are a different size from the UK e,g. Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
We'll also have clips to suit the NM cable such as Romex in the USA and Canada and the round lighting and outlet cables across Europe.

Please contact us if you are looking for something specific and don't see it on our website.
Gun
The ViperClip gun is unique in that we use the clips with the gun to create the cable guide. By using the correct sized clip for your cable, and by selecting the front guide according to your cable, the ViperClip fastening solution will centre your cable right along the centre of the gun, ensuring the nails fire perfectly on either side of the cable. Simply place the gun over the cable, ensuring it's flat against the surface and fire!
No. Our gun and battery have a battery management system which optimises safety and product performance and should only ViperClip batteries used on ViperClip guns.
Our safety mechanism on this gun is set to activate with the smallest cables size - the 1.0mm². If your cable is too small, then it is likely the safety won't engage and the gun won't fire.
If you have a requirement for use with a smaller cable, please contact us.
In tests we've found the battery life to be good at well over 1000 fires per full charge.
If you have any concerns about your ViperClip gun, battery or charger, please contact us for advice as these items are covered under a two year warranty. Please see our warranty section for further details.
